An audiovisual poem that connects language with the future
Lenguas Vivas isn’t a campaign. It’s a work of art woven from words, rhythm, and territory. An audiovisual poem born in the heart of Oaxaca and echoed across the world, celebrating a form of technology that doesn’t just connect, but represents.
Motorola, in partnership with UNESCO and Lenovo, and led by the cultural strategy and creative direction of Euphoria Creative, this piece reimagines technology as an ally to living identities. A tool that doesn’t impose, but amplifies. That doesn’t speak from the outside, but builds from within.
The centerpiece film, “Clouds Between the Voices,” brings together two powerful forces shaping contemporary Zapotec culture: Irma Pineda, poet and defender of Indigenous languages; and Mare Advertencia, rapper and voice of a generation reclaiming the mic to transform their world. Together, they embody a lyrical encounter between ancestral wisdom and present-day disruption, a verse vibrating between memory and possibility.
From day one, Euphoria Creative guided the project from cultural strategy to full production, rooted in a clear principle: respectful co-creation. Every creative decision was made in collaboration with the Zapotec community, ensuring the narrative wasn’t an outside interpretation—but an expression from within. This wasn’t about speaking about—but speaking with and from.
The result is a sensorial journey where words drift like clouds—moving, shifting, crossing generations, bodies, and territories. The voices that make up the piece are as diverse as they are real—and fully alive.
The campaign is enriched by a curated cast that reflects the depth and complexity of today’s Zapotec culture: from the poetry of Clyo Mendoza to the visual activism of Andy Medina; from the Muxe strength of Estrella Vázquez to the digital textile art of Ismael Gutiérrez. All brought to life by a fully local production team, led by Casandra Casasola, Luna Marán, and Pompi García—ensuring every frame carries the truth of its origin.
Lenguas Vivas isn’t a tribute to the past. It’s a declaration of the present. A powerful reminder that Indigenous languages are not relics—they are possible futures. And when technology serves culture, it can carry those voices farther, louder, and stronger.
